OK today was a fun day. We woke up at 8 am, had breakfast (these delicious pancakes), and got on a boat to go snorkeling. The boat ride there was so nice and breezy, and when we reached the first stop (which was a beach), the water was incredibly clear and clean . There was also not a single cloud in the sky. This area was more touristy than other places we’ve been.
Even though I was right next to the shore, this one huge, angry fish kept circling me with a bunch of baby Fish following on suite. (I think that’s the correct way to use ‘en suite). Anyways, then we got on the boat again and reached this restaurant on the water. It was so colorful, as were all the other Panamanian buildings we’ve seen so far. We ate sandwiches for lunch, then hopped (because it wasn’t safe to jump) into the water.
I snorkeled at first (for a couple of minutes) and saw some cool fish. Then I swam around more with my friends and impressed them with my insane pull-up abilities. At around 3:30, we left the restaurant and reached Basti, where we had a couple hours of free time. I took a shower and walked around the island. I played with some kids that I recognized, like Jose. Afterwards, the entire group walked to the beach together to watch the sunset. It was gorgeous and we got so many instagramable pictures (I think), we walked back and had dinner at the hotel, which was chicken curry.
Then we had our discussion circle where we talked about why it’s important to know the full story. Afterwards, we all went to a room and shared more love. Now it’s time for bed. Bye!
