How We Work With Schools

A Global Network of Partners

Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder is a 501 C(3) educational nonprofit created by educators. We provide a cost-effective, authentic pool of resources from which school leaders can develop and nourish global citizenship education and ethical leadership programming for students and faculty.

From innovative educators to inspiring nonprofit leaders, partner schools have access to our full network of resources.

Our network of professional educators is dedicated to sharing expertise and resources. Opportunities include professional development workshops, an annual Ethical Leadership Forum with attendees from the entire SStS community, and risk management training.

School partners have access to customized professional development. We work with schools to help them develop their service-learning, global education, advisory, and leadership programs.

Using a curriculum-based approach, we create programming for students in grades 8-12 to discover the complexity of global challenges by working and learning alongside our trusted nonprofit partners. Learn more about our field studies here.

Our online courses for high school students are experientially inspired and grounded in the principles of ethical leadership.

Member Schools

The Global Schools Coalition (GSC) is an organization of college preparatory schools that share in the resources of Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder. United in the educational aim of global citizenship and ethical leadership, members collaborate in multiple physical settings and across digital platforms to create a broad range of programming for students, faculty, and school communities.
