Today we visited Jungle Mike who found success by dedicating
his career to insects. We visited his local open air butterfly farm home to many different species of butterflies. We learned about butterflies eye-spots and how they use them to scare prey. We also learned about the special toxins in the plants some butterflies eat which makes them poisonous to birds.
Fun fact: A butterfly can lose 40% of its wings and still be fine. His enthusiasm and passion was so inspiring since you could tell he loves his job.
Jungle Mike is a great example of an ethical leader since he thinks outside of the box and takes risks. He told us how the farm started with him throwing some seeds on the ground and waiting to see what would happen.
