Leaving Turtle Trax reminded me of saying goodbye to my senior friends on the last day of school. It’s sad to part but it doesn’t over shadow the memories made and the people you have met. The most admirable quality that I have observed in the people at Turtle Trax is their perseverance. You are taking shifts to watch turtles in the dead of night, and half the time you don’t see a turtle. But nonetheless Turtle Trax shows up! I will miss the late night shifts and the excitement that comes with finding a mama turtle, but there is a sad saying all good things must come to an end. But I don’t think that’s true. Good things come and go but they never leave you. Good things teach you the value of paying attention, to both to yourself and your surroundings because you learn so much when you listen. I will take the perseverance I learned here with me on my next journey, and I’m so excited to embrace a new opportunity.
