. . . we were mostly on the road with a quick stop for a scenic view of the Himalayan Mountain Range. Dinner was at an international restaurant in Ta Gong: yak burgers to get a taste of home.
This morning we stopped by a nunnery where Tempa, our guide, explained aspects of Buddhism to our group during a tour of a famous monk’s room.
Lunch at a Chinese restaurant led us to an orphanage where we played basketball and other games. Playing with the orphans was a lot of fun because we were able to connect to the kids through the sport even without a common language.
Finally, we did some shopping in Ta Gong before we headed to our homestay for dinner.
It is weird and sad to think that we will be leaving Tibet in just four days and that we will probably never see each other again after we go our separate ways in the LAX airport.
