After an impressive performance with freestyling by the enthusiastic, young performers, we were given beginning dance lessons by one of the dance instructors. The students’ glee and performance stood out to us. Even though they came from conditions that were not the best, they were delighted to show off their skills. True happiness was observed. It didn’t matter what these kids had or didn’t have, it was that they found their outlet. Something that brought them together: dance. This experience proved to be an eye-opening one for all of us. We learned to appreciate our education in our home countries and the support we receive there. Additionally, that hard work combined perseverance can get you a far way. Tiny. Toons will be a place that remains close to all of us.
