U.S.- Mexico Border '24

Today we started off the day with breakfast in the hostel in San Diego. Then
we walked to the “museum of us” and saw an exhibit about the history of the US-Mexico border. We learned about how border policies negatively impacted the indigenous community (O’odham tribe) in the area and the surrounding environment. Then we visited Oldtown, San Diego and saw a cultural Fusion of American and Mexican culture. We saw one of the first mission churches from when the Spanish arrived. At the end of the day, we reflected on how border policies benefit us, along with their consequences for others.
