Today was our first full day in Bolivia, and we went straight to work on the water filters. As we carried the 160 pound concrete filters, I was excited and a little bit anxious of what’s to come. We have a lot of work ahead of us, installing these filters in indigenous communities, and I’m sure along the way we will encounter tough challenges and exciting opportunities, and make a lot of memories along the way.
But it’s not just the work ahead of us that excites me. It’s the world around us. Here in Rurrenabaque, we’re surrounded by giant mountains and the Amazon rainforest. We are going to get to explore and learn all about the incredible Bolivian culture. I’m really looking forward for these next few weeks!
