So many different experiences and stories have already been made on this trip, so it is not so easy to pick one day. If I had to choose, I would say both days where we hiked up a mountain are top on my list of my favorite memories that I will take home with me. I
I have never been a big hiker, so struggling up these mountains or hills was going to be a guarantee.
Although the very first hike we went on made me feel closer and connected with everyone in the group. Through the struggle of the
constant uphill climb, we never failed to make each other laugh. Once we we reached the top of the mountain, we talked, laughed, sat in silence, and generally enjoyed each other’s company for about an hour and a half. The second hike was the most brutal. But, along with the sore legs from the steep uphill and downhill climbs and a splinter from the spikey thorns also came a feeling of comfort that we can be vulnerable and weak around each other without being judged.
