Hi Mom and Dad,
I hope you are having a peaceful couple of weeks. Enjoying time together and with Myles too. I am enjoying my time here in Kenya. I have a wonderful group of people here that is easy to have fun with and learn. I am enjoying the time away from my phone and in a turn of events I am dreading to get it back.
Coming here is the greatest summer lift packet as I haul sand, dig trenches, lift stones and bricks, and do more manual labor than I’ve ever done in my life. We got to hike which I didn’t really miss so much until then.
So far my favorite part, though has been hanging out with the kids at Kach. One of them named Grace looks just like Deja. Kelvin made me a friendship bracelet. Tamara likes to give me trouble, she just loves hugs. Though I am across the globe, I don’t feel far from home. I remember the privilege I have, and all I want to do is share it with everyone’s pure soul. Kenya may lack indoor plumbing and consistent electricity but everywhere you look, there is love there.
Peace and Love,
Madison S
