Today we had pancakes for breakfast. That’s all that really matters but I guess we did other things as well. Doctor K took us to one of her Kach kids who now is an adult and owns a fabric store. It was a tiny little store off of a busy road. All of us who wanted to found wonderful things with some people having custom skirts and pants made. After that we all went to a supermarket to replenish all of our candy and snacks. We returned to Tiriji to eat lunch and enjoy some free time. Ally and I explored a food forest that Dr K has made over the years, it’s amazing how differently some people grow food and how well it works compared to the traditional American way. The people here prepared for us to do laundry while we were at lunch and then taught us how to properly hand wash our clothing. I know some of the parents will be surprised to hear that their children were doing laundry but yes, it’s true. Once everyone was done washing, we headed over to KACH to play with the kids. The kids were in the middle of a martial arts lesson, so we got to observe that and I even tried a few moves. Everyone played and had an amazing time, there were soccer and basketball games going as well as people playing cards. We returned to Tiriji for dinner and had our nightly circle. All of us are now off to prepare for the safari tomorrow and get to sleep in the hopes of getting enough before we wake up at 4am tomorrow.
