We have had quite the two days. On Friday morning, we took a much needed rest from our four days of hard work. Elizabeth made pancakes and we stayed inside to shelter from the rain. We had a morning discussion on some of our hardships throughout the week, as well as played some intense games...
Our course instructors report that students spent the day learning about the significance of the horse to the Lakota cultural and also had the chance to go on a horseback ride. While riding, the group had the chance to speak with several Lakota about the role of horses in their culture.
La Isla del Sol is the most beautiful place I have ever been. We have spent our mornings hiking around the island and our afternoons reading and journaling and enjoying the beauty of this place.
