Editor’s note:  for chronological clarity, this entry was written on Friday.

Today was day 6 in Peru- day 3 at munaychay! We started the day bright and early with a breakfast consisting of bread with jam and butter along with scrambled eggs courtesy of Jack and Cortlin. Next it was time to start the work. While Cortlin and Sofia began to paint the sports hall, Gaby and myself finished the work in the library. The boys enthusiastically continued their project outside the library building steps for the kids to read on. After our fun filled morning, Inka, one of our tour guides took us to Urubamba for a special treat. Inka showed us her favorite market, and her favorite place to buy cookies. After stocking up on some much needed sweet treats, Inka showed us the Corazones Para Peru office where we were able to hang out for a bit. Next, we walked through the city to get to the bus. We rode the bus with some of the kids from Munaychay who had finished school for day. Upon arriving at Munaychay, we had lunch with the kids in the houses. After lunch, Woza, the soccer group from yesterday returned to play soccer with the kids. Some of us played soccer, while others watched or relaxed. Before we knew it, it was dinner time. We made our way to the houses and ate with our new friends. After dinner, the girls treated the group to some homemade crepes with Nutella. They were so good!  Although many of us are very tired, we are all excited to continue our work here at Munaychay and get to know the children and each other more!
