The Tibet Crew crested above 14,000 ft. (see photo) on their way into Tagong and their first “cultural sensitivity” lesson:  After the course curriculum guide was edited for politically sensitive content by our Tibetan NGO director, our local guide asked for even more “editing” – meaning pages ripped out – his “sensitivity” obviously quite higher!   Great (authentic!) lesson on the realities of culture, politics, and travel.

Note:  At the moment, we are still connected through international phone coverage – reflects a greater span of coverage than even last year.  We are anticipating moving to SAT phone soon.  In short, we are in 24-hour contact capacity with the crew.  Photos and journal entries, however, will be discontinued until a return to Kangding.
