Everyone has their preferred style of packing for travel, so please use the download below as a helpful guide and be mindful of your own needs.

As you pack, please remember that you can expect lots of sun and high temperatures with minimal rainfall at this time of year. Daytime highs range from 80-85°F (26-29 °C) and nighttime lows between 70-75°F (21-24 °C).

SStS strongly encourages each student to visit a local “travelers clinic” or international health care practitioner who can advise you personally on your specific needs and questions. We can not give specific recommendations other than following the CDC’s recommendations, which are linked below.

Accommodations

San Juan: Accommodations will be in a local hostel. Students will share rooms of 4-6 people per room. Rooms are reserved for members of the group only. 

Patillas: The group will be staying in small cabins on a private farm on the coast of Patillas. Each student will have their own bed in a shared room (4-6 people per room). Showers and bathroom facilities will be available to the group. 

Carite: The group will be staying in small cabins on a private farm in Carite. Each student will have their own bed in a shared room (4-6 people per room). Showers and bathroom facilities will be available to the group.
