Group back in Rurrenabaque
After four days and three night spent in Charque (a small village along the Bolivian Amazon), the group has made it back safely to Rurrenabaque. They will spend tomorrow cleaning up, finishing the filters they built, and having a final dinner with Joselo and the team of the Rio Beni Health Foundation.
The day started out on a sad note. We were leaving Rancho Quemado and had to say goodbye to Alice, Glenda, Hope, and more of the amazing people who had taken care of us over the past week or so. I didn’t realize how much we had bonded until it was time to say goodbye....
Today was our second day of working on our project here at the island. We started the day off right with a little change in our diet this morning, eating noodles instead of rice. We then headed back to our work sites and quickly started where we had left off. Our two groups came together...
