Arrived safely and even met Bill Cotter, who arrived from course instructor training and will be joining the group on tomorrow’s journey toward Rancho Quemado (Bill lives in a small town halfway to the site).

A Wonderful First Few Days in New Orleans

The group has had a wonderful first few days in New Orleans! So far, they have worked in the Common Ground Nursery, learned about the Lower Ninth Ward on a tour with Sustain the Nine, listened to Jazz at the famous Preservation Hall, and enjoyed some of the city’s famous cajun food!

How to Protect Turtles

Today we helped clean out debris from a turtle hatchery. We spent a few hours working and a little while playing in the sand and ocean.
